While in Munich we took two day trips. One to Freising to visit the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan where we learned about their brewing process. Here we also explored the TUM School of Life Sciences and attended the IKOM Life Science career forum. Our second day trip included time at the University of Regensburg, where we toured their archea lab to learn about their revolutionary research, and the German Museum of Medical History in Ingolstadt. Our time in Munich included a visit to the BIOTOPIA Lab inside the Munich-Nymphenburg Botanical Garden, a very interesting interactive exhibit connecting science, art, and design. My friends and I also took a train to Berchtesgaden National Park for a few hikes with amazing views.
