Budapest was a beautiful city with a quiet but active atmosphere. While here, we visited Semmelweis University, an institution known for its medical education and research. We explored history by visiting the Golden Eagle Pharmacy Museum along with the Semmelweis Museum of Medical History. We also learned about microbiology’s role in food and drink production through a fermentation workshop and tour of House of Unicum. In our free time, the group took a sunset cruise on the Danube, and my friends and I visited New York Cafe.
